There are currently no Car Seat Safety Classes. Those wanting to have a car seat safety check, please sign up for the monthly car seat safety event or contact Miranda Smolen at 850-833-9284 for more information.

Healthy Start’s Car Seat Safety Check is an opportunity to help you learn the proper way to safely buckle up your baby.

This FREE event is facilitated by a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).

Our Car Seat Safety Checks will be occurring monthly in the Okaloosa County Department of Health parking lot.

At your appointment you will:

  • have car seat(s) checked for suitability
  • receive instruction on/assistance with proper installation
  • learn to properly harness the child(ren)
  • check seat(s) for recalls

Before you arrive:

  • have car seat(s) installed
  • bring car seat and vehicle manual (if you have them)
  • if possible, bring the child(ren) with you
